Updated: 5:03 PM - The renovations include custom seating for Hagner Auditorium, renovated position meeting rooms, an Adidas uniform display space, a custom lounge for players and an updated head coaches’ locker room and lounge. The locker room, the signature component of the renovation, includes a high-impact experience unlike anything else in collegiate athletics.

Texas East scored six runs in the top of the 4th to defeat New Mexico 8-1 this afternoon at the 2014 Southwest Region Little League Softball tournament in Waco, Texas. The loss eliminates New Mexico from the event while Texas East earned the right to play a second game today against the loser between Texas West and Louisiana.

The Texas A&M football team was ranked No. 20 in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll that was released on Thursday. The Aggies will open the 2014 season against No. 9 South Carolina in the debut college football game on the new SEC Network, and will face four other teams listed in the preseason Top 25: No. 2 Alabama, No. 5 Auburn, No. 13 LSU and No. 19 Ole Miss. The Aggies and Gamecocks will kickoff at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28 in Columbia, S.C.

Bolt Returning to A&M as an Assistant Coach

Texas A&M Baseball has named former University of Nebraska player and assistant coach Will Bolt to the staff, Aggie Head Coach Rob Childress announced on Wednesday. Bolt previously served a two-year stint as a volunteer assistant coach at Texas A&M in 2006-07.
