During his junior season Tivy made it to the Class 4A state semifinals. Then in his senior season the Antlers won a Bi-District championship, losing in the second round. In his final high school campaign he threw for 3,609 yards and 45 touchdowns and rushed for another 1,674 yards and 30 scores.
