CHICAGO (AP) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have advanced to the
National League Championship Series beating the Chicago Cubs 5-1.
Chris Young homered on Rich Hill's first pitch of the game and
Eric Byrnes and Stephen Drew also hit solo shots as the D-backs
completed a three-game sweep in the best-of-five Division Series.
Livan Hernandez pitched six innings for the win allowing a run
on five hits. Hill lasted three innings after giving up three runs
on six hits.
The Cubs grounded into four double plays.
Arizona will appear in the NLCS for the second time in the
franchise's 10-year history. As for the Cubs, it's 99 years and
counting since their last World Series title.
