BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Jacob Hester scored on a two-yard plunge with 1:09 left to give top-ranked LSU a 28-24 win over ninth-ranked Florida.
Hester finished with 23 carries for 106 yards and his score gave
the Tigers their first lead of the game.
Tim Tebow (TEE'-boh) shredded the nation's top-ranked defense
for three quarters, giving Florida a 24-14 lead with 15 minutes
remaining. He passed for 158 yards and ran for 75.
Florida had one last drive, but when Tebow's long pass was
knocked down in the end zone, a record crowd of close to 93,000
The back-to-back losses are the first for coach Urban Meyer
since 2002 when he was at Bowling Green.
LSU improved to 30-and-2 at home over the last five years.
