LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Tom Osborne told Nebraska's players after
Saturday's 36-14 loss to Texas A&M that he thought they gave a better
effort than in past weeks.
Osborne is interim athletic director after the firing of Steve
Pederson. The Hall of Fame coach said the difference in the game
was turnovers. Texas A&M committed none. Nebraska coughed up the
ball three times.
Osborne attended two practices this week and met with coach Bill
Callahan twice. He said he suggested no changes to Callahan.
Osborne said, quote, "I'm not telling anyone how to coach.
That's their province."
