COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M junior tight end
Martellus Bennett says he'd enter next year's NFL draft if he
thinks he'd be chosen in the first or second round.
The tight end leads the Aggies with 24 receptions.
Bennett today said if the opportunity is there -- "you've got
to do what you've got to do."
The 6-foot-7, 255-pound Bennett sat out last week's 36-14 win at
Nebraska with a sprained ankle.
Bennett says he also may miss Saturday's game against Number 12
Kansas (7-0, 3-0 Big 12).
The Aggies (6-2, 3-1) lead the Big 12 in rushing (260 yards per
game), but rank last in the league and 111th in the country in
passing (155 yards per game).
A&M has completed only 113 passes this season, also a Big 12
Bennett was one of the top tight end prospects in the nation
when he came out of Alief (AY'-leef) Taylor High School in 2005.
