HOUSTON -- The Houston Astros today re-signed catcher Brad
Ausmus to a one-year contract worth two million dollars -- plus
Ausmus will return for his 10th season with the Astros.
The 38-year-old hit .235 with three home runs and 25 RBIs in 117
game for Houston last season.
Ausmus had only four errors in 2007. He ranked fourth among
catchers in the National League with a .995 fielding percentage.
The three-time Gold Glove winner played for the Astros from
1997-98 and his second stint began in 2001.
Ausmus has also played for San Diego and Detroit.
