Mavs Make It Six Straight Over Rockets

HOUSTON -- Josh Howard had 23 points as the Dallas Mavericks
beat Houston for the sixth consecutive time, knocking off the
Rockets 96-83.
Howard shot 50 percent and grabbed five rebounds for the
Mavericks, who outscored the Rockets 58-42 in the second half.
Dirk Nowitzki finished with 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting after
missing 15 of 23 shots over his previous two games. Jerry
Stackhouse had 17 points to help the Mavs deal the Rockets their
fifth loss in eight games.
Houston kept the game close until the Mavericks went on a 26-9
run bridging the last two quarters.
Yao Ming had 28 points and 14 rebounds for the Rockets, but
Tracy McGrady finished with just 12 points on 5-for-18 shooting
after bruising his left knee on a drive in the first quarter.
