FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Fifteen down, one to go.
The New England Patriots are just one victory away from a
perfect regular season after Tom Brady tossed three scoring passes
in a 28-7 rout of Miami. They are the first NFL team to start a
16-game schedule 15-and-0.
Brady hooked up with Randy Moss for two touchdowns, moving them
closer to breaking a pair of league records. Brady is one shy of
Peyton Manning's single-season mark of 49 touchdown passes since
three years ago. With 20 touchdown receptions, Moss needs one more
to tie Jerry Ross for the most in a single season.
Moss scored the Pats' first two touchdowns to put them ahead
14-0 early in the second quarter. Laurence Maroney added a 59-yard
TD run before Brady's 48-yard scoring pass to Jabar Gaffney gave
New England a 28-0 lead before halftime.
The Pats didn't allow a touchdown until Cleo Lemon threw a
21-yard pass to Greg Camarillo (kam-uh-REE'-oh) with 1:13
remaining.
