INDIANAPOLIS -- Tim Duncan finished with 19 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and helped the San Antonio Spurs pull away in the second half of a 116-89 rout of the Pacers at Indiana.
Jacque Vaughn came off the bench to score 16 points for the
Spurs, who dominated the third quarter after the teams were tied
59-59 at halftime.
The Pacers opened the second half shooting 1-for-11, allowing
the Spurs to mount an 18-2 spurt that gave them a 77-61 lead.
Indiana finished the period with just nine points, and never got
closer than 11 points the rest of the way.
The Spurs took control after the Pacers shot 67.6 percent in the
Danny Granger had a team-high 16 points in the Pacers'
season-high seventh straight loss.
