UNDATED (AP) - Connecticut will enter the women's NCAA
tournament as the number-one team in The Associated Press Top 25.
It's the seventh time the Huskies have finished with the top
ranking and the first time since 2003.
UConn, which began the season at number-two, leads the final AP
poll with 49 of 50 first-place votes from a national media panel.
North Carolina, at number-two, drew the other first-place ballot.
The top seven teams remain the same with Tennessee third
followed by Stanford, Maryland, LSU and Rutgers.
Texas A&M is eighth - the highest ranking ever for the Aggies.
Duke and California round out the top ten.
Old Dominion comes in at number-11, followed by Baylor, Oklahoma
State, Oklahoma and Notre Dame. The Irish are followed by Kansas
State, West Virginia, Utah, Louisville and George Washington.
