ARLINGTON -- Gary Matthews had a tie-breaking, three-run double to lead the Los Angeles Angels to a 7-4 win over Texas. Matthews broke out of a 3-for-27 slump before he cleared the bases in the sixth inning. Casey Kotchman had a two-run homer for the Angels.
Texas jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings on RBIs by
Milton Bradley, Ian Kinsler, Michael Young and David Murphy.
Darren Oliver got the win in relief for his first decision of
the season. Reliever Josh Rupe took the loss.
The Rangers have lost five in a row.
