PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Philadelphia Phillies erupted for four runs off Jose Valverde in the bottom of the ninth to pull out a 4-3 win over Houston.
Pinch-hitter Chris Snelling started the comeback with a solo
homer before Pat Burrell's two-run blast tied the game. Geoff
Jenkins then reached first base on a passed ball after striking
out. Pedro Feliz followed with a game-winning double for the
Phillies, who were held to four hits by Shawn Chacon over eight
Miguel Tejada and Geoff Blum hit RBI singles for the Astros.
The rally allowed Rudy Seanez to improve to 1-and-1. Valverde is 2-and-1 following his second blown save.
