NEW ORLEANS, LA -- The defending NBA champs are in the Western Conference finals after proving they are road worthy.
Manu Ginobili scored 26 points and had five assists as the San Antonio Spurs knocked off the Hornets 91-82 in Game 7 of the second-round series at New Orleans. Ginobili iced the victory by draining six free throws in the final minute after Jannero Pargo hit a 3-pointer to get the Hornets within 83-80 with 1:35 remaining. Ginobili shot only 6-for-19 from the field but was 10-for-11 at the line as the Spurs earned the right to face the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tim Duncan added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Spurs while
Tony Parker added 17 points.
Pargo, David West and Chris Paul each had 18 points for the
Hornets, who became the only home team to lose a game in the
