SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan's 33 points and 19 rebounds
powered the San Antonio Spurs to a 108-to-101 victory over the
Phoenix Suns and a 2-to-1 lead in the second-round series. Duncan
closed the deal with 13 points in the final period.
Manu Ginobili (MAH'-noo jih-NOH'-blee) suffered a bloodied eye
but scored 24 points, including ten in a two-minute spurt in the
Shawn Marion led the Suns with 26 points. Amare Stoudemire
(ah-MAH'-ray STOW'-duh-myr) finished with 21, but was in foul
trouble for most of the second half. Phoenix point guard Steve Nash
was scoreless in the first half and finished with 16 points. He had
ten points in the fourth, but it wasn't enough.
Game Four is Monday night in San Antonio.
