CHICAGO (AP) - After coming up short in his first seven
attempts, Mark Buehrle pitched eight strong innings for his 100th career victory and the White Sox beat the Houston Astros
6-to-3 to snap a five-game losing streak. It's just the third win
in 15 games for Chicago's American League franchise.
The Sox' left-hander got longball support from Paul Konerko,
Luis Terrero and Juan Uribe while improving to 3-and-3.
Houston's Wandy Rodriguez struggled again. The left-hander
allowed seven hits and five runs in five innings. His third loss in
four starts drops him to 3-and-6.
