PITTSBURGH (AP) - Jose Bautista, Xavier Nady and Adam LaRoche each hit solo homers and drove in two runs to lead Pittsburgh's 7-to-5 win over Texas.
Bautista went 3-for-5, including a leadoff homer in the Pirates'
three-run first. LaRoche doubled home a run later in the inning
before Nady's R-B-I single made it 3-to-0.
LaRoche went deep in the fifth, one inning after Nady socked his
eleventh homer of the season.
Zach Duke limited the Rangers to two runs and eight hits in six
innings to improve to 3-and-6. Matt Capps picked up his third save
with a scoreless ninth.
Kevin Millwood was tagged for five earned runs and eight hits in
four and a-third. He's 2-and-6.
Sammy Sosa had two hits and two R-B-Is for the Rangers, who hit
into four double plays during the first five innings.
