Padres Slug Astros

HOUSTON (AP) - Mike Cameron and Adrian Gonzalez hit two-run
homers during an eleven-run first inning and the San Diego Padres
went on to outscore Houston 18-to-11.
Astros starter Jason Jennings allowed all eleven runs on eight
hits over two-thirds of an inning.
Brian Giles had a two-run double and starting pitcher Tim
Stauffer (STAW-fur) chipped in with a two-run single as the Padres
enjoyed their biggest first inning since scoring 13 against St.
Louis in August of 1993..
Kevin Kouzmanoff (KOOZ'-muh-nawf) hit a two-run homer in the
ninth off Brad Lidge as the Padres matched their highest run total
since an 18-to-2 win over Florida in the 2002 season.
It was the most runs allowed by the Astros since they gave up 14
against Cincinnati in the 1989 season.
Doug Brocail got the win in relief and is 3-and-1. Jennings is
