HOUSTON - Lance Berkman hit a solo homer to spark Houston's
four-run eighth in a 6-4 win over Milwaukee.
Berkman snapped a two-all tie with his 21st homer of the season.
Brad Ausmus followed with an RBI double before Eric Bruntlett's
two-run single put the Astros ahead 6-2.
Craig Biggio hit a solo shot in the fifth after
being honored in a pregame ceremony for reaching the 3,000-hit
plateau last month. Ty Wigginton also homered for the Astros, who
prevented the Brewers from expanding their game and a-half lead
over the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central.
J.J. Hardy's two-run homer off Trevor Miller got the Brewers
within two runs in the ninth. But Brad Lidge got the final out for
his eighth save.
