HOUSTON (AP) - Ryan Zimmerman and Nook Logan sparked the
Washington Nationals' 14-hit attack in an 11-to-6 rout of the
Astros in Houston.
Zimmerman hit a two-run homer and had four RBIs as the Nationals
beat the Astros for the seventh time in their last eight meetings.
Logan had a career-high five hits, including three RBI singles
that helped the Nats go ahead 11-4.
Wandy Rodriguez had won his last six home decisions before
Washington reached him for seven runs over five and a-third. He's
Houston's Craig Biggio (BIH'-zhee-oh) hit his 53rd career
leadoff homer, an NL record. Biggio finished with three hits and
four ribbies in the Astros' fifth loss in seven games.
Nationals rookie Joel Hanrahan gave up three runs in five
innings to get to 3-and-1.
