But line coach Dennis Wagner said folks better see how the
Huskers fare going against someone their own size before getting
too excited. The Huskers figure to get a bigger challenge this week
at Wake Forest and the following week at home against Southern
They were in such control up front in yesterday's 52-10 victory
that coach Bill Callahan kept the ball on the ground on three of
every four plays he called. Nebraska amassed 413 yards on 70
rushes, 5.9 per carry.
The line gave up no sacks.
Left tackle Carl Nicks said there has been so much hype about
the offensive line that he and his teammates feel the need to show
that they're for real.
