BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU coach Les Miles says running back Jeremy Hill has been reinstated and may practice immediately.
Miles says Hill will face further punishment from coaches which will be "handled internally," leaving open the possibility that Hill could be forced to sit out some games. However, Miles declined to specify how many games, if any, Hill may have to miss, adding the Hill already has been punished substantially during his more than three-month suspension.
Miles' decision came hours after a judge decided not to send Hill to jail over a probation violation stemming from a punch he threw outside a bar in late April.
The coach says he reinstated Hill only after teammates on Monday afternoon voted to invite Hill back to practice.
Hill led LSU in rushing last season.
