There suddenly seem to be some questions about Nolan Ryan's future with the Texas Rangers.
Is his role changing and is he going to stay?
Speculation has been growing about Ryan since some seemingly routine promotions announced last week. General manager Jon Daniels and chief operating officer Rick George were given new presidential titles by Rangers ownership.
Friday's announcement included a statement from Ryan, who said he was proud of what the organization has accomplished in recent years. But he has made no other public comments since the moves, raising speculation whether his role is diminished.
Ryan finished his Hall of Fame playing career in Texas. He became team president five years ago, and the Rangers have since been to their only two World Series
