The Texas Rangers are going to have to adapt if they're going to make the playoffs again.
General manager Jon Daniels says the team expects to keep winning and make the playoffs for the straight fourth year even without Nelson Cruz. The All-Star right fielder leads the team with 27 home runs and 76 RBIs.
Cruz will miss the rest of the regular season after his 50-game suspension from Major League Baseball after its investigation of the Biogenesis clinic.
Ian Kinsler says the Rangers will miss Cruz, but they'll worry about who's on the field and about winning.
Texas, which plays at the Angels late Tuesday night, won its first game without Cruz, and has won seven of eight overall to get within two games of AL West-leading Oakland.
