Bonds Won't Return To Giants In 2008

Posted: 09/22/2007 - The San Francisco Giants and Barry Bonds are parting ways. The home run king was told last night by Giants owner Peter Magowan the team would not bring him back for 2008. Bonds, who broke Hank Aaron's all-time home run record last month, says on his web site that he understands it's a business decision but wishes he'd given an earlier opportunity to properly say good-bye to his fans. He says he believes this was not a last-minute decision by the Giants, but one that was made some time ago.
