WACO, Texas -- Baylor is ready to play football again.

The Bears had just unveiled their post-Robert Griffin III era offense with a romping win over Southern Methodist two weeks ago when they had to take a break.

Baylor (1-0) didn't play last week and now faces Sam Houston State (1-0) on Saturday night.

The break meant Bears senior quarterback Nick Florence had to wait two weeks to keep showing that he can keep Baylor's offense humming just like Griffin did. The Bearkats played for the FCS national championship last season and expect to contend for the title again.
