SHSU soccer falls 1-0 at UTEP

El Paso – MacKenzie German scored the winning goal in the 36th minute as UTEP defeated Sam Houston 1-0 in a non-conference women’s soccer match Sunday afternoon.
The Miners unleashed a relentless offense, totaling 21 shots. SHSU goalkeeper Kylie Hambleton totaled nine saves.
German’s goal came on a long cross into the box that hit the far post and bounced in for a score.
Sam Houston State totaled six shots in the match.
The Bearkats return to Huntsville to host a pair of matches at Intramural Field No. 3. UTSA visits for a 7 p.m. match Friday. The Bearkats host Rice Sunday at 1 p.m
