Dayna Galganski and Michelle Secours from Sam Houston State University's nationally-ranked women's bowling team have been named to the National Ten Pin Coaches Association (NTPC) 2012 All-America squad.

Galganski, a senior from North Palm Beach, Fla., and Secours, a junior from Brockport, NY, both were honorable mention selections on the 2012 NTPC All-America team.

Only 25 women from the NCAA Division I bowling teams across the country were selected to the All-America squad.

Galganski is being recognized as an All-American for the second year in a row.

Both were leaders for the Sam Houston State team in 2011-12 as the Bearkats rolled up a 79-35 overall won-loss record that included 46 victories over nationally ranked teams. The SHSU women's bowling team finished the year ranked No. 9 in NCAA Division I women's bowling and climbed as high as No. 5 during the season.

In traditional team play this year, Secours led the Bearkats with an average of 196.88 pins in 40 games while Galganski ranked second on the squad with a mark of 193.33.

"This is a tremendous honor for both young women," Sam Houston head coach Brad Hagen said. "To be a second year program and already have had two bowlers named All-America a total of three times is an exciting accomplishment."
