COLLEGE STATION -- Hurricane Isaac may have other ideas, but if the game stays as scheduled the Aggie football team is now just over 72 hours away from kicking off the Kevin Sumlin era against Louisiana Tech in Shreveport.
Like the Aggies, the Bulldogs feature a fast-paced offense that plans on putting a whole lot of points on the board.
Louisiana Tech averaged just under 400 yards and just over 30 points per game on their way to an 8-5 2011 season.
The Aggie defense expects the Bulldogs to try to speed things up in Shreveport, but, because of plenty of practice against the A&M offense, whatever Tech tries to throw at them won't be anything they haven't seen.
Safety Steven Terrell said, "Most teams they want to do tempo, but they can't. Sometimes the offense can't handle it. Louisiana Tech goes fast, but I don't think they'll be able to keep up with as fast as our offense goes. I'm sure from last year's film and the last time we played them they had some success going up-tempo, so I'm pretty sure we're gonna see that again."
That last time Terrell talked about was a 48-16 Aggie win at Kyle Field.
The Aggies are 9-0 all-time against Louisiana Tech.
