COLLEGE STATION -- Kickoff to the 2012 season of Aggie football is just nine days away and anticipation has seemingly never been higher as the Aggies begin anew with Kevin Sumlin and a new conference.

Most folks are looking to the future when they talk about the Aggies contending for an SEC title, but the time is now for 20 Aggie seniors.

This group doesn't have next season to look forward to; they plan on winning now and doing all they can this year to make sure it happens.

Senior receiver Ryan Swope said, "Obviously we're in this to win football games and that's my main goal. Not only mine but the whole team. I've been talking to Sean Porter about it. Jonathan Stewart, guys that kind of stick out to you that I've been playing with for four years. We just really want to flip the switch and leave everything on the field and just win football games. We obviously get to make history as seniors entering the SEC and it'd be a great way to go out with a championship."

Swope and company will have to do a lot of work to realize that goal this season. One-a-day practices continue for the Aggies all week.
