COLLEGE STATION -- Mother nature delayed the start of Texas A&M's fourth practice of fall camp Tuesday night. Due to lightning and rain the team moved inside the McFerrin Athletic Center.
The Aggies practiced inside for just under an hour, getting some special teams and individual work in. They eventually moved outside and got in another hour plus of work in helmets, shoulder pads, and shorts.
"Sometimes it's good to get guys out of a routine and have them try to create the same energy and restart," head coach Kevin Sumlin said after practice. I talked to them about it being like a road trip. We're not in the same comfortable environment. We're not going from this drill to this drill. I thought they handled it well."
The team will move to full pads for the first time Wednesday and have their first two-a-day practice on Thursday.
