AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Several freshmen are making a push for playing time on Auburn's offensive line.
The Tigers loaded up with seven offensive linemen in the incoming freshman class, and some newcomers are competing for spots on the depth chart. Guards Alex Kozan and Jordan Diamond, and tackle Avery Young have all logged snaps with the first-team line during preseason camp.
All three deflect talk about whether that means they have a chance to start when the Tigers open Sept. 1 against Clemson. But coach Gene Chizik isn't ruling out a freshman starter on the line.
Auburn is replacing three linemen who started at least six games last season, including tackles A.J. Greene and Brandon Mosley. Redshirt freshman Greg Robinson is expected to start at left tackle.
