COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The Texas A&M football team has opened up one of the most anticipated fall camps in years as they get ready for their inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference.
First year Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin along with seven players: Ryan Swope, Sean Porter, Luke Joeckel, Jonathan Stewart, Patrick Lewis, Steven Terrell and Uzoma Nwachukwu talked about this evenings opening workout (5:45 p.m.), and expectations for the upcoming season this afternoon with the media.
Those raw interviews are available here.
Sumlin said that incoming defensive lineman Edmond Ray did not qualify academically and will play at a junior college this fall. Defensive lineman Alonzo Williams is still working on getting cleared by the NCAA to play this fall, and running back Will Randolph, from Copperas Cove, has decided to leave the program.
