FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Led by the breakout performances of Brandon Mitchell and Chris Gragg, Arkansas didn't look like a team that lost three receivers to the NFL in a season-opening win over Jacksonville State.
Mitchell and Gragg each topped the 100-yard mark in receiving and were nearly joined by Javontee Herndon, who finished with four catches for 96 yards.
The performances came with top receiver Cobi Hamilton out for much of the game with an injury, and they helped ease any concerns about the loss of Joe Adams, Greg Childs and Jarius Wright from last year's team.
The No. 8 Razorbacks (1-0) host Louisiana-Monroe in Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium on Saturday before returning to Fayetteville to host No. 1 Alabama next week.
