COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas A&M set to host final day of the 2012 A&M Classic against Marquette, both teams are coming off wins Friday to open play in the Classic. The Aggies were victorious against the Southern Jaguars by a score of 88-48 and the Golden Eagles won earlier in the day against Marshall by a score of 67-46. Sunday will be the first meeting of Texas A&M and Marquette on the hardwood.

Friday night the Aggie offense was clicking on all cylinders with five players scoring in double figures, juniors Kelsey Bone and Karla Gilbert each scored 15 points to lead the way. Texas A&M controlled the lane scoring 52 points in the paint and corralling 44 rebounds on the night.

Marquette controlled the pace of play throughout the game against Marshall Friday afternoon, with four players scoring in double figures. Junior forward Katherine Plouffe led all scorers with 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds on the day. The Golden Eagles dominated the boards outrebounding Marshall 51-36 on the day.
