BRYAN -- Auburn will have two new coordinators for the 2012 season. Scott Loeffler will be in charge of the offense. Brian Vangorder takes over the defense. He will try to improve a Tiger defense that was 11th in the SEC in total defense giving up 408 yards per game and last in pass defense giving up 218 yards per game.

Expect to see the defensive end Corey Lemonier and Tigers in attack mode this season. "Especially defensive line wise, it is just go attack the tackle, the tight end, the running back. Just be a ball player. i think that is going to help up out a lot."

On the other side of the ball Scott Loeffler takes over an offense that has seven starters returning. The Auburn offense was eighth in the SEC last year putting up 337 yards per game but this year you can look for the Tigers to do some different things. Wide receiver Emory Blake explains some of the changes. "It is more of a pro style offense, a lot more under center than what we did last year. It just a totally different feel to the offense." Tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen will have a little different role as well. "I think I am getting back to a more traditional tight end. I am still doing a lot of the same stuff I have done in the past being in the backfield and motioning around and same type of blocking but I am also more involved in the pass game this year as opposed to what I have done in the past."

The first chance to see Auburn's new schemes will come on September first when the Tigers face a tough season opener against Clemson in the Chick-fil-A kick-off game in Atlanta.

"They are going to be somewhere around the top 10 probably and deservedly so. It is going to be a great challenge for us right off the bat as the next week we move into SEC play. I think that is a great starting point for us personally and where we are going to go the rest of the year."

Auburn will host Texas A&M October 27 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
