COLLEGE STATION, TX -- Three members of the No. 14 Texas A&M soccer team were placed on Top Drawer Soccer’s Preseason Southeastern Conference (SEC) Watch List.

Sophomores Kelley Monogue and Katie Perry and senior Beth West were selected to the list with Monogue taking the top spot and Perry (No. 5) and West (No. 9) each finishing in the top 10. The Aggies were the only team in the SEC to have three honorees on the watch list and one of only two schools with multiple players in the top 10.

Monogue (McKinney, Texas) was a freshman All-American in 2011 after leading the Aggies to a 12th Big 12 Championship in their final season in the conference. The forward was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and the Big 12 Tournament MVP. She was also placed on the All-Big 12 first team and the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team.

Perry (Mission Viejo, Calif.) took a big role with the Aggie attack in the spring, netting four goals in five matches against top in-state opponents. The sophomore was named to the 2011 Soccer America Preseason Top 10 Freshmen of Influence List and the 2011 TopDrawerSoccer.com Freshman Top 100 List.

West (Centennial, Colo.) was an All-Big 12 first team NCAA All-Central Region third team and Academic All-Big 12 first team selection a year ago. The senior holds the program record for assists in a season after contributing 14 in 2011. This summer she played for the US Women’s National Team (WNT) U-23 squad.

Monogue, Perry and West were also named to the 2012 SEC Soccer Preseason Watch List, released by the conference office on Wednesday.

The 14th-ranked Aggies were picked to finish second in the conference and first in the SEC West, and will kick off the 2012 season at UC Irvine. An Aug. 17 Maroon & White match will be the team’s home debut and is free to the public. To learn more about Texas A&M soccer, log on to AggieAthletics.com and follow @AggieSoccer on Twitter.
