STILLWATER, OK -- Suspended Oklahoma State linebacker Chris Collins has been dismissed from the football team.
The decision came nearly one week after Collins pleaded guilty
to the aggravated sexual assault of a 12-year-old in northeast
Texas when he was 17.
Collins had been suspended for the remainder of the season after
entering his guilty plea in New Boston on the charge resulting from
the 2004 assault that occurred after prom.
Collins was one of four men charged with assaulting the girl.
A jury has recommended that Collins serve five years of
A judge will formally sentence him on December 10th.
After last week's trial, OSU suspended Collins through the end
of the season.
