COLLEGE STATION -- The No. 10 Texas A&M baseball team will host Louisiana-Lafayette, Ohio State, and Le Moyne in the NCAA College Station Regional this weekend.
The Aggies (44-16), the regional’s top seed, earned an automatic bid by winning the Big 12 Tournament championship with a 14-6 win over Baylor on Sunday. A&M is hosting a regional for the sixth time in school history (1989, 1993, 1998, 1999, 2003).
Texas A&M will face fourth-seeded Le Moyne (34-17) Friday at 7 p.m. The Dolphins earned an automatic bid by winning the Metro Atlantic Tournament championship.
Louisiana-Lafayette (43-15), the Sun Belt Conference regular-season champs, earned an at-large bid as a No. 2 seed and they will open the Regional against No. 3 seed Ohio State (37-22), who earned an automatic bid by winning the Big Ten Tournament.
All of the games will be broadcast by COX Sports Television. Check your local listings for availability in your area.
The Aggies are 47-46 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and have reached the Regional Championship game four straight trips. A&M failed to qualify for the NCAAs the last two years after advancing to the Super Regional round in 2004.
