COLUMBIA, Mo. – The series finale between the fifth-ranked (ESPN.com) Texas A&M softball team and No. 5 (NFCA) Missouri, originally set for noon today, has been cancelled due to rain in the area.
The Aggies and Tigers split games on Friday and Saturday, and today’s rubber match would have determined a series victor. Missouri took game one, 2-0, on a two-run walk-off home run. A&M came back with a vengeance in game two, run-ruling the Tigers 11-3 in six innings on four home runs, including a third grand slam of the season by junior Nicole Morgan.
A&M (23-2) will host Arkansas next weekend in a three-game Southeastern Conference series at the Aggie Softball Complex. The Aggies and Razorbacks will play at 7 p.m. Friday, 4 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. All times are Central.
