COLLEGE STATION, Texas— The Texas A&M equestrian team is hosting tryouts on Sept. 3 for those wishing to join the 11-time National Champions for the 2013-14 season.
Potential walk-ons must attend the tryout meeting Tuesday, September 3rd at 6 p.m. in Burkhart Auditorium, located on the northwest corner of Kyle Field. Attendance is mandatory for those wishing to audition for the team.
Attendees must be female students, enrolled in at least 12 hours at Texas A&M with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and need to have advanced training in horsemanship, reining, hunter seat equitation on the flat or hunter seat equitation over fences. Those wishing to tryout should also bring proof of medical insurance and the results of a sickle-cell blood test and physical.
