COLLEGE STATION -- The Texas A&M defense has six starters back from the 2011 team. In all the Aggies have 27 lettermen returning on defense. One of those lettermen if former Huntsville Hornet Kirby Ennis. With the Aggie switching back to a 4-3 defense this season Ennis could be a key players on the defensive line.
The A&M defensive front will be a part of some big battles this season in the Southeastern Conference. Winning at the line of scrimmage is to having success in the SEC. Ennis said he is ready to play in the SEC "I am looking forward to it because I love competition and I love when competition comes and either you are going to put up or you are going to lay down. That is my philosophy and that is the way I go about it and I think that we are going to shock some people and we are going to be pretty good. Just keep working and keep striving and lets see where it takes us."
Texas A&M will open the 2012 season August 30 in Shreveport against Louisiana Tech. The Aggies' first SEC game will be September 8 against Florida at Kyle Field.
