Texas A&M women’s basketball signee Khaalia Hillsman was named a nominee for the 2014 McDonald's All-American game, which takes place in her hometown of Chicago on April 2 in the United Center.
Hillsman is seeking to become the sixth female to play in the McDonald's All-American Game then play for Texas A&M. Active players Karla Gilbert, Jordan Jones and Courtney Williams played in the game, along with former players Tyra White and Kelsey Bone.
Hillsman, a 6-5 post player from Whitney Young HS, is ranked as one of the top recruits in the country.
According to All-Star Girls Report analyst Brett McCormick, Hillsman is the third-ranked post prospect and the 20th-best player overall in the nation, and rates the Aggies one-player class as the 22nd-best recruiting class in the nation.
Hillsman is rated by ESPNU HoopGurlz as a five-star recruit, and is a member of the ESPN HoopGurlz 100. She is rated by ESPNU as the 46th-best recruit in the nation and the sixth-best post player.
