COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M softball team will play eight exhibition games and the annual Maroon & White series this fall, Head Coach Jo Evans announced today.
The Aggies, who ended the 2012-13 season at the NCAA Super Regional level in May, will host six of the exhibition match-ups. The best-of-five Maroon and White series will also be played in the friendly confines of the Aggie Softball Complex. All home games will be free to the public, and all times listed are Central.
An Oct. 30 doubleheader with Blinn College will open up the fall slate in Aggieland. The teams will face off at 5 and 7 p.m.
Texas A&M will compete in one doubleheader outside of College Station, playing two neutral games against Houston at the Spring Klein Girls Softball facilities in Spring, Texas, on Nov. 6.
A Nov. 8 doubleheader against McLennan College and a pair of Nov. 12 games vs. Sam Houston State, all at the Aggie Softball Complex, will round out the traditional exhibition season for Texas A&M.
Starting on Nov. 18, the Aggies will split into two squads for the ball club’s annual Maroon & White Series. The intra-squad scrimmage is a best-of-five series with one game per day until a victor has emerged. Times for the Maroon & White are to be announced.
