COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M women’s basketball team has wrapped up practices and departs Thursday on a 10-day tour of Italy.
The Aggies depart Houston at noon Thursday and arrive in Rome Friday afternoon. A&M has games scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 19, Tuesday, Aug. 21, Thursday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 25. The team will spend three nights in Rome, two in Florence, two in Venice and two in Como before returning to Aggieland on Sunday, Aug. 26.
Among the off-the-court highlights will be visits to some of Italy’s most scenic and famous landmarks, including The Colosseum, the Vatican City, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Lake Como. It will be the first foreign tour for the program since its European Tour in 2006.
