COLLEGE STATION, Texas—The 25th-ranked Texas A&M men’s tennis team returns home from a Saturday trip to Lubbock to play host to the 43rd-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish tennis team on Monday, Apr. 9 with first serve set for 6 p.m. at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center on the Texas A&M campus.
The Aggies enter the match with a 12-10 record after dropping a tough 4-3 decision to No. 23 Texas Tech and without the services of Junior Ore who has played at the No. 1 and 2 lines throughout the spring. The Fighting Irish bring a 16-7 record into the match after defeating SMU, 5-2, on Saturday.
Last year, the Aggies went to South Bend and defeated the Irish, 5-2, with the Aggies ranked No. 18 and the Irish were No. 24 at the time. Aggie senior Colin Hoover picked up one of the points in the victory winning at No. 5 singles.
The Aggies have won 47 of the last 48 matches played at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
The Monday match is Extra Stamp Day as fans will receive an extra stamp or scan on their Aggie Rewards.
