URBANA, Illinois -- Despite losing the doubles point, the Texas A&M Women's tennis team won four singles matches, including at number 4, where Ines Deheza posted a 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 win and beat UCLA's Chanelle Van Nguyen in the Final Four 4-3.
Ines lost the second set in a tie breaker, but won the first two games of the third set to regain the momentum.
She wasn't able to hold it and dropped the next 4 games and trailed 4-2. Ines didn't give up, and won the final 4 games to clinch her match 6-4.
Texas A&M will battle Stanford for the 2013 Women's National Championship following a 4-3 by the Cardinal over two time defending national champion Florida. First serve is set for 5pm.
The other singles victories for the Aggies were at no. 1 where Cristina Sanchez topped Robin Anderson 6-1, 6-3. Nazaria Urbina won her match at no. 3 6-4, 6-2 over Pamela Montez. Stefania Hristov also posted a straight sets win over courtney Dolehide 7-6, 6-1.
