HOUSTON, TX -- The undefeated Texas A&M women’s swimming and diving squad will take on Rice University Saturday, Dec. 1, in a dual meet at the Rice University Aquatics Center competition pool for a 1 p.m. meet.
The No. 4-ranked Aggies are undefeated this year with dual meet wins over South Carolina, North Carolina, SMU, and Florida. The women’s squad has just come off an impressive team victory at the Phill Hansel Invitational hosted by the University of Houston. The Aggies defeated four ranked teams winning 16 of 21 events on their way to a first place finish.
The effort was led by Olympian Breeja Larson with her two NCAA and American records in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and earned Southeastern Conference Swimmer of the Week honors. Also shining was sophomore Sarah Henry who broke two school records at the meet in the 500 and 1650 free.
This will be the last meet of the semester for the Aggies. The team will compete next on January 12 against the Auburn Tigers at the Texas A&M Student Rec Natatorium in College Station.
