Aggies Return Home to Face Houston Baptist

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Following a three-game sweep of Pepperdine in its first road trip of the 2012 season, the No. 6 Texas A&M baseball team returns to the friendly confines of Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park to begin a nine-game homestand Tuesday night when the Aggies host Houston Baptist. First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m.

TEXAS A&M/HOUSTON BAPTIST SERIES NOTABLES
The Aggies lead the all-time series against the Huskies 3-0 with the two schools having first met on the baseball diamond in 1967 when the Aggies shutout HBU 4-0 in College Station ... two years later in 1969, A&M defeated HBU in a close contest by the score of 6-5 ... Most recently the two school faced off on March 18, 1998, with the Aggies earning a 9-2 victory on Olsen Field.

Following Tuesday’s contest against Houston Baptist, Texas A&M baseball will jump back into Big 12 Conference play this weekend when it hosts the Missouri Tigers for a three-game series on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
