COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas A&M equestrian Head Coach Tana McKay announced today the signing of Madison Bohman to a National Letter of Intent to compete with the Aggies, rounding out the team’s 2013 signing class.
Bohman (Morgan, Utah) will join the Aggies in the fall of 2014 after graduation from Morgan High School.
“I look forward to adding Madison's talent to our roster,” McKay said. “She has been very successful and is a true showman in the arena.”
Bohman has won multiple National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Affiliate Championships. She has finished in the top five of several Non Pro Futurity circuit events, and has recorded multiple regional Non Pro derby wins. Bohman was the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) World Show Youth Reserve Champion and placed fifth at the North American Affiliate Championship (NAAC) World Championship in the Youth 14-18 class. Bohman also competes on the Intermountain Reining Horse Association (IRHA), where she has won multiple circuit championships and year-end championships.
“It has always been my goal to ride on a collegiate equestrian team,” Bohman said. “When I visited A&M I fell in love with the campus, school spirit, and all the educational opportunities that the school has to offer. I can't wait to be a part of and contribute to the team.”
Bohman is the Aggies’ eighth and final signee this season, joining Kai DeVoglaer (hunter seat), Courtney Weisbart (reining), Jaci Marley (reining), Rachael Hake (hunter seat), Avery Ellis (western), Kristen Mohr (hunter seat) and Emily Davis (horsemanship) in the Aggie equestrian class of 2018.
